THREE YEAR OLD STABBED IN THE HEART, BABY’S THROAT SLASHED: The initial findings of the investigation into the terrorist massacre in the Israeli town of Itamar in Samaria Friday night show that the Fatah ‘Freedom Fighters’ stabbed the Fogel family's sleeping three year old in the heart and slashed the throat of his three-month-old sister. The IDF and police forces are conducting widespread searches in the vicinity of the community since the barbaric terrorist murder of five members of the Fogel family in their home on Friday night. It is not yet clear how many terrorists took part in the massacre. About 20 Arabs have been arrested up to now. The IDF investigation of the attack has discovered that at 20:59, terrorists entered the community. They jumped over the fence and an alert sounded. The guard on duty went to the spot from which the warning was heard, but saw no evidence of infiltration and therefore, made the erroneous decision that an animal had activated the electronic fence’s warning signal. Between 22:20 and 22:30 the terrorists entered the house through the living room picture window, did not notice the 6-year-old boy sleeping on the couch and continued on to the bedroom where they slashed the throats of the father and newborn baby who were sleeping there. The mother came out of the bathroom and was stabbed on its threshold. They then slashed the throat of the 11-year old-son who was reading in bed. They did not notice the 2-year old asleep in his bed, but murdered the 3-year old with two stabs to his heart. After that, they locked the door, exited through the window and escaped. Exactly two hours after the infiltration, there was another warning signal from the same spot on the fence, as the terrorists left the way they had come. Once again, the patrol did not identify the signal as infiltration.  (INN)  No words can express the shock and grief those of us who love Israel feel upon reading of these terrible murders; babies and children as well as parents.  Heavenly Father we ask you for the miracle of your unfathomable comfort for family and friends who suffer so painfully at this time.  And may the wicked be brought to justice.

IDF LAUNCHES MASSIVE MANHUNT AFTER FIVE FAMILY MEMBERS SLAIN IN ATTACK: Israeli security forces have been carrying out an extensive pursuit after those responsible for the fatal stabbings in the West Bank settlement of Itamar, in which five family members were slain on Friday. Defense Minister Ehud Barak vowed Saturday that Israel would use every means possible to track down those behind the fatal knife attacks. "The IDF and security services will act quickly and with all the tools at their disposal in order to capture those responsible for the despicable murders," Barak said. Barak spoke with security and intelligence officials overnight, including PM Benjamin Netanyahu, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz, and Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin, regarding the killings.  Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said he would file a complaint with the UN over the attack and that he expects "worldwide condemnation of the satanic murder of an entire family." PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY SINGS FOR JOY OVER TERROR: The Palestinian Authority “sings for terror,” IDF Brigadier General Yossi Kuperwasser said Saturday night - 24 hours after PA terrorists slaughtered five members of the Fogel family.  He also contradicted US claims the Palestinian Authority is making an attempt to combat terror. He revealed that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, hours after the massacre at Itamar, met with a member of a group that celebrates acts of terror with song. “The foundation of Fatah still uses terror, -which it calls resistance - as the preferred tool to ‘free Palestine,'" Kuperwasser said in a special conference Saturday night. “Through songs and school textbooks and by honoring terrorists, the Palestinian Authority calls for terrorist attacks. That is the kind of message the Palestinian Authority public gets from its leadership, even though they say to the world, ‘We are against violence because violence doesn’t pay, but that does not mean it is not legitimate; people who commit violence are our heroes.’” (INN) “The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion.” Ps 11:15

GOV’T OKAYS HUNDREDS OF HOUSING UNITS AFTER ITAMAR ATTACK: Israel's government has approved new apartments in West Bank blocs.  Minister Danny Dayan says it's a pity that parents and children need to be murdered for building to take place and has called for a new Itamar neighborhood in name of victims. The ministerial team for settlements approved hundreds of new apartments in the settlements of Ma'ale Adumim, Ariel, Kiryat Sefer and in Gush Etzion in a special meeting on Saturday. The move comes in the wake of a terrorist attack on Friday in which five members of one family were stabbed to death in the West Bank settlement of Itamar.  (J.Post)

WHO CAN I TRUST WITH MY DONATIONS?  Many people ask, "Where can I send my financial contributions and be sure they reach the people who need them most?"  As an employee of Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse, I have witnessed since 2006, food, clothing and household goods go out to the poor, often twice a week. Thousands of dollars of hospital equipment have been freely given to old age and care institutions that simply can't afford new beds or other medical necessities. School packs have been prepared annually for thousands of needy children. Additionally, when there have been catastrophes abroad, Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse are among the first to send necessary supplies to alleviate the distress. THOUSANDS KILLED, INJURED BY MASSIVE TSUNAMI AFTER 8.9- MAGNITUDE QUAKE ROCKS JAPAN: Huge earthquakes rocked northeastern Japan on Saturday, a day after a giant temblor set off a powerful tsunami that killed and injured thousands of people, turned the coast into a swampy wasteland and left two nuclear reactors dangerously close to meltdown. The US Geological Survey said a strong earthquake struck just before noon in the sea in virtually the same place where the magnitude 8.9 quake on Friday unleashed one of the greatest disasters Japan has witnessed -- a 23-foot tsunami that washed far inland over fields and smashed towns. Saturday's magnitude 6.8 quake was followed by a series of temblors originating from the same area, the USGS said. It was not immediately known whether the new quakes caused any more damage. All were part of the more than 125 aftershocks since Friday's massive quake, the strongest to hit Japan since officials began keeping records in the late 1800s. It ranked as the fifth-largest earthquake in the world since 1900 and was nearly 8,000 times stronger than one that devastated Christchurch, New Zealand, last month, scientists said. NUCLEAR MELTDOWN FEARS IN JAPAN; 12,000 DEAD OR MISSING:  Workers at two nuclear plants in Japan are struggling to prevent a meltdown in the wake of a powerful earthquake, a tsunami, and an explosion. Crews flooded an overheated reactor core with sea water in hopes of heading off a disaster. Earlier Saturday a failure in the pumping system at the Fukushima Daiichi plant caused an explosion that caused damage to the building housing the plant but did not reach the reactor itself. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes near that plant and near a second plant in the region, the Fukushima Daini plant, in which the cooling system has failed. Three people selected at random from dozens of crew members have tested positive for exposure to radiation. A third plant in Onagawa was the site of a fire Friday but is not currently the subject of concern. Meanwhile, 9,500 people remain unaccounted for in the city of Minamisanriku, a town on Japan's northeastern coast that was hit hard by Friday's tsunami. The total population of the town is under 20,000. Rescue teams have been unable to reach some areas due to damage from the earthquake, which destroyed airports on the east coast. The tsunami swept inland as far as six miles. Thousands of homes were destroyed by the rushing water, and four entire trains were swept off the tracks and remain missing. Minor tsunamis hit Taiwan later in the day, and elevated waves were reported in Hawaii and the Philippines. Israel's Foreign Ministry reported Saturday night that so far, it has not heard from 20 Israelis, who remain unaccounted for. (Ynet) Pray for missing Israelis and others to be located.

JAPAN SPOKESMAN WARNS OF FRESH NUCLEAR BLAST RISK: Japan's top government spokesman is warning of a fresh threat of explosion from a nuclear unit at a power plant in the country's earthquake-ravaged northeast. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said Sunday a hydrogen explosion could occur at Unit 3 of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear complex. That would follow a blast the day before at the same power plant as operators attempted to prevent a nuclear meltdown of another unit by injecting sea water into it. (AP)  Pray for a miracle that further nuclear explosions will be avoided in besieged Japan.

ISRAEL TEAM TO HELP WITH SEARCH AND RESCUE EFFORTS IN JAPAN:  Israel’s Zaka International Rescue Unit said Friday it will send a team of trained volunteers from Israel to help the search and rescue efforts in Japan, following the 8.9-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that rocked the country earlier that day.  In addition to ZAKA, a number of Jewish organizations from Israel and America offered their assistance on Friday.
