“The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love one other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Pet 4: 7-8

CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION EVICTED FOR SUPPORTING ISRAEL: Less than two weeks ago the Christian Congregation, Father's House, at Gwernymynydd Village Center, North Wales held their last meeting. This came as a consequence of being evicted after 11 years because the management Committee disagreed with their beliefs concerning Israel. Father's House members are determined they will continue to stand firm in their support of Israel and belief that the land of Israel was given to the Jewish people as an everlasting possession in accordance with the Scriptures. They are not willing to compromise in making their support for the Jewish people and the establishment of Israel widely known through many mediums including the Christians For Zion Website. The management of the Village Center made it very clear the views expressed in the church website were enough of an issue for them to evict the congregation from the Council-owned property. Father 's House has been forced to avoid renting any other public facility in the County of Flintshire for fear of similar action and have now rented an industrial unit in North Wales in which to meet temporarily. HEZBOLLAH OFFICIALS TO BE INDICTED IN HARIRI MURDER: The UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon, in charge of investigating the murder of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri, will likely point at senior Hezbollah terrorist member Imad Mugniyah as a key figure in the assassination. Indictments against Mugniyah and other Hezbollah officials involved in the assassination are slated to be filed next month. (Ynet) Hezbollah is a Lebanon-based terrorist organization strongly supported by Syria and Iran. Hezbollah, with the help of Iran, may be planning to stage a military coup in Lebanon to cover up and divert attention from its role in the assassination of former Lebanese PM Hariri. Hezbollah can take over Lebanon “in a matter of hours,” outgoing IDF military intelligence chief, Gen. Amos Yadlin, told the Knesset Foreign Affairs Committee earlier this month. He also noted that Hezbollah, one of Israel’s bitterest enemies, had missiles that could reach Tel Aviv. A victory for Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon would also be a victory for Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad and al-Qaida. It would increase Israel’s danger of an all-out attack from enemies in the North. Pray that Israel’s foes will be divided and defeated in all of their destructive intents.

US RUNNING OUT OF PATIENCE WITH SYRIA: Two years after Washington began its efforts to turn over a new diplomatic leaf with Damascus, the US is now outraged by Syrian behavior in Lebanon, with the Americans believing that Damascus is contributing to undermining security and stability there. Syria reportedly is snubbing Washington but advancing its rapport with Iran. Since Mr. Obama came to office, Syrian meddling in Lebanon - including reports of supplying Scud missiles to Hezbollah terrorists - has only increased, while its ties to Iran have deepened. At a press conference with Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in February, Mr. Assad railed against the US for imposing "a new situation of colonialism," while Mr. Ahmadinejad promised the "demise and annihilation of Israel." NETANYAHU TO US: TIME TO REALLY THREATEN IRAN: “The only way to ensure that Iran is not armed with nuclear weapons is to create a credible threat of military action against it, unless it stops its race to obtain nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu reportedly told US Vice President Joe Biden when the two men met in New Orleans on Monday. Israel’s outgoing army intelligence chief, Gen. Amos Yadlin, cautioned days ago that Iran already has enough enriched uranium to build one nuclear warhead, and will soon have enough for two. A former Iranian Revolutionary Guard explained in a recent radio interview that the Iranian regime is committed to ushering in the chaos and havoc they believe will bring forth the Islamic messiah, regardless of the consequences. NETANYAHU: PEACE AGREEMENT MUST NOT BE FORCED ON US FROM ABOVE: PM Benjamin Netanyahu told US Vice President Joe Biden this week in New Orleans that there must be a peace agreement that is not forced on the parties from above, and that the Palestinians must not attempt to circumvent negotiations by declaring statehood through the UN. Netanyahu said Israel has done enough to prove that it is serious, while the Palestinians have not taken any steps to demonstrate their seriousness about peace. (Ha'aretz)

HOUSING CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCED FOR EASTERN JERUSALEM:  A Jerusalem municipal committee has approved the construction of more than 1,000 Jewish homes in eastern Jerusalem, along with a second plan to build 800 homes in the West Bank settlement of Ariel. The US administration had been trying to persuade PM Netanyahu to declare a second settlement freeze in the territories. The State Department said it was very unhappy when it learned of the plans to build in East Jerusalem. The announcement of the program's details came early this week, while PM Netanyahu was in the US to meet with the Obama administration and UN officials. (Ha’aretz) REVIEWING THE FACTS: Some 300,000 Israelis live in the 121 officially-recognized settlements in the West Bank, a further 190,000 Israelis live in settlements in East Jerusalem. These decades-old Jewish communities include homes, schools, government buildings, shopping centers and thriving business. The Obama administration and the Palestinian Authority continue to pressure Israel to forgo even natural growth construction to meet the need for additional schools, medical facilities, apartments, and shops within its own long established communities. The reason for this is to accommodate Palestinian hopes and demands that Israelis will eventually agree to walk away from these thriving towns and neighborhoods and turn them over to their enemies in return for a false peace. Pray for Israeli leaders to continually stand strong against foreign manipulation and for the Good News of G-d’s peace plan to penetrate the Middle East.

CANADA SNUBBED FOR STRONG PRO-ISRAEL STAND: Canadian PM Stephen Harper on Monday delivered a pro-Israel speech at a parliamentary conference which dealt with ways to fight antisemitism. Harper implied his country did not secure a seat at the UN Security Council due to its failure to cooperate with an anti-Israel policy. The Canadian prime minister stressed that while there is room for fair criticism against the Israeli government, Canada is obligated to come to the Jewish state's defense when it is assaulted by others. He stressed that Israel is the only country in the world whose very existence is under attack and the only nation conspicuously singled out for condemnation. Harper said Canada must oppose demonization, double standards and de-legitimization. "Not just because it is the right thing to do, but because history shows us, and the ideology of the anti-Israel mob tell us all too well, that those who threaten the existence of the Jewish people are in the longer term a threat to all of us.” (Ynet)

ISRAELI KNOW-HOW HELPING TO COMBAT HUNGER IN AFRICA: Israel has long been a leader in developing innovative drip-irrigation systems that reduce the amount of water needed for farming. Today, these innovations are empowering farmers across sub-Saharan Africa to combat problems of water scarcity. Most of Israel is arid, with the Negev Desert spanning 60% of the country.  Desertification, water scarcity and soil erosion makes it increasingly difficult to farm, endangering the livelihoods of those who depend on agriculture for both food and income. But the simplest techniques developed by Israel have gone a long way in strengthening food security, increasing incomes and improving the livelihoods of millions of people. (J.Post) “And all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Gen 12: 3

As international speakers and messengers of the Good News through music, Barry and Batya Segal are at the forefront of what God is doing in the present day nation of Israel. With strong ties in both the nations and Jerusalem, the Segals are weaving the deepest roots of our biblical heritage together with the fresh Spirit-filled worship of today to create their rich harmony of Scripture and song.

The Segals have a vast vision for God's purposes in the nations and to the people of Israel. In fact, their longing to help rebuild Israel both spiritually and physically inspired them to pioneer the non-profit charity organization, Vision for Israel and The Joseph Storehouse. This arm of their ministry focuses on assisting the poor and needy, widows and orphans, and reaching out to the new Jewish immigrants coming into the land of Israel. Vision 's most challenging project to date is "The Joseph StorehouseŽ", humanitarian aid center, located in the hills of Jerusalem. The Joseph Storehouse functions as a channel of blessing to all of Israel, Jewish and Arab, through the gathering and distribution of emergency medical supplies, food, clothing, and other basic life necessities.
