PA COURT: DEATH PENALTY FOR SELLING LAND TO JEWS: Selling land to Israel or Israelis is a capital offense, a Palestinian Authority court in the Jerusalem area ruled Thursday. A prosecution statement said the court issued the ruling according to instructions it received from PA Attorney General Ahmad Al-Mughni. The Prosecution added the ruling was made in order to “protect the Palestinian national project to establish an independent Palestinian state.” Dozens of Arabs have been executed without trial in the past for collaborating with Israel by selling land to Jews, but the court’s recent ruling was the first time the PA officially handed down a verdict of treason for the deed. While Jews are forbidden from buying land from Palestinian Arabs, PA leaders refuse to accept Israel's status as the state of the Jews. Israel does not forbid the buying of land by Arabs, and there have been persistent reports of oil-rich Sheiks who have been buying land in Israel for nationalistic reasons in the past few years. ARAB LAND DEALER WHO SOLD TO ISRAELIS SAYS HE FEARS FOR HIS LIFE: One day after the Palestinian Authority confirmed the death penalty for Palestinians who sell land to Israelis, one of Jerusalem’s most prominent Arab land dealers called on the Israeli authorities to help him and other Palestinians whose lives are at risk. The PA’s latest threat should be taken “very seriously,” said the land dealer, who belongs to a large clan in the city. He also claimed senior PA officials have themselves sold property to Jews. ABBAS: PEACE TALKS WON’T CONTINUE IF SETTLEMENT FREEZE ENDS: Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas said Monday he would not continue "a single day" of direct peace negotiations with PM Benjamin Netanyahu if Israel refuses to extend its construction freeze in West Bank settlements after it expires next week. The Palestinian leader's remarks came a day after Netanyahu reiterated that he would not yield to growing international pressure to extend the building halt to prevent peace talks from collapsing. Israel would not risk exposing its citizens to the type of attacks launched from the Gaza Strip since Israel's withdrawal in 2005, Netanyahu told cabinet members at a weekly meeting in Jerusalem. PA: GIVE US A STATE OR IT’S WAR: Senior Palestinian Authority negotiator Nabil Shaath has announced the PA will never accept Israel as a Jewish state. In addition, he threatened war if the PA fails to obtain its demands through negotiations. The Arab League voted last week to support PA Chairman Abbas' refusal to recognize Israel as Jewish. Shaath said recognizing Israel as a Jewish state would undermine the PA's demand for the “right of return,” which would grant Israeli citizenship to the millions of Arab descendants who willingly left Israel during its War of Independence. The PA has demanded that no Jewish residents remain in a future Arab state, including any Israelis in Judea and Samaria who would be willing to become PA citizens. YOUR DONATIONS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED: Did you know that nearly 23.6% of the people in Israel and some 35.9% of its children lived in poverty conditions? At the beginning of this school year alone, Vision for Israel and the Joseph Store House distributed 7,000 school packs for needy children - with more to go. This is only one of our many projects to help the impoverished in Israel. Please continue to enable us to assist terrorist victims and Holocaust survivors, entire households suffering from hardship, the elderly and others in need in Israel. US FEARS RUSSIAN CRUISE MISSILE FOR SYRIA TO DESTABILIZE MIDEAST: The US shares Israel’s concern over the possibility of Hizbullah terrorists obtaining advanced anti-ship missiles that Russia is selling to Syria, US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Monday. Russia defended the sale of the Yakhont cruise missile, saying there is no reason to fear the weapons will fall into the hands of terrorists. Hizbullah, however, scored a surprise advantage in the Second Lebanon War by using powerful Russian-made anti-tank missiles that had been sold to Syria. Gates told visiting Defense Minister Ehud Barak that the sale could further "destabilize" the Middle East. Israel is openly angry over the sale, which Barak failed to stop during a recent visit to Russia. (AP/Arutz-7)

IRAN, LEBANON WALK OUT ON ISRAEL’S UN SPEECH: Israel’s President Shimon Peres addressed the UN General Assembly on Monday. However, representatives from Iran and Lebanon walked out as soon as he took the podium. Peres earlier told reporters that Ahmadinejad “calls for our destruction, and supplies arms to every terrorist organization in the Middle East.” Peres was snubbed by Muslim leaders on Sunday as well, when Turkish President Abdallah Gul cancelled a planned meeting with the Israeli president. Gul called off the meeting after Peres refused to apologize for an incident earlier this year in which IDF soldiers opened fire on Turkish pro-terror activists as the latter attacked them with knives and crowbars. Gul decided, however, to meet with Iranian President Ahmadinejad. (Ha’aretz/INN)

BRITAIN GOES HALAL BUT NO ONE TELLS THE PUBLIC: A recent investigation has revealed that British schools, hospitals, pubs and famous sporting venues are serving up meat slaughtered in accordance with strict Islamic law to unwitting members of the public. The traditional Islamic way of preparing meat involves killing animals by drawing a knife across their throats, without stunning them first. Instead, it must be sentient when its throat is cut, and the blood allowed to drip from the carcass - while a religious phrase in praise of Allah is recited. Experts concluded that "such a massive injury to any animal would result in very significant pain and distress in the period before insensibility supervenes." (Mail-on-Line)

NANO-PARTICLES SHAPED LIKE STAR OF DAVID FOUND: A new type of nano-particle resembling the six-pointed Star of David, a centuries-old Jewish symbol, has been discovered by researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The discovery of the tiny particle may lead to new ways for sensing glucose in diagnosing diabetes and provide a catalyst to capture the sun's energy and turn it into clean fuel. (INN).
