“Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.” Ps 143:8

SOURCE: TERRORISTS BEHIND EMBASSY THREAT IN PLACE: The Al-Qaeda terror threat prompting the US government to close nearly two dozen embassies and consulates Sunday – and possibly longer - is the most specific, credible threat information in years, according to security experts. Intelligence sources have disclosed a major plot is underway and that the team to carry it out has been selected and is in place. What authorities don't have is the date, the timing or the target of the attack. The threat has prompted the US to issue a global travel alert to all Americans for the first time since the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. US President Obama was briefed again late Saturday by National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Lisa Monaco, his counterterrorism and homeland security adviser, after Rice chaired a meeting of top officials to review the Al Qaeda threat. Worldwide, 22 US embassies and consulates closed their doors Sunday and possibly longer. The travel alert issued for American citizens worldwide warns that both rail and airports could be targeted. The State Department says there is a potential for a terrorist attack "particularly in the Middle East and North Africa." According to US top intelligence sources, the current “chatter” about a terror plot goes beyond anything heard before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. (CBS/Ynet)

OBAMA ‘LEAKING INFO ON ISRAELI STRIKES IN SYRIA’: The US intelligence community has been leaking information on Israeli air strikes in Syria, and US President Barack Obama is behind the leaks, according to diplomatic sources. Diplomats said the Obama administration has enabled US intelligence personnel to disclose details of Israeli military operations against the armed forces under Syrian President Bashar Assad. These disclosures include reporting Israeli air and naval strikes on advanced Iranian and Russian weapons that arrived in 2013. “This is a decision that could come only from Obama,” one diplomat said. “The leaks will continue because there is a lot of resentment within the US intelligence community over Israeli assessments regarding such countries as Egypt, Iran and Syria,” the diplomat added. Sources further said the disclosures have strained the CIA's relations with Israel’s Mossad. The CIA director is John Brennan, regarded as a confidante of Obama. The American betrayals have raised concerns in Israel that Assad would be unable to refrain from responding to the attacks due to the embarrassment he would incur. “The mere fact that such leaks happen often indicates the Pentagon leadership does not have Israel’s interests at heart,” Prof. Efraim Inbar, director of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, said. (INN/J.Post)  Pray these recurring betrayals of Israel’s top security maneuvers on the part of the Obama administration will be stopped. Such dangerous disclosures on the part of Israel’s so called “best friend,” has every potential to backfire on the US, according to G-d’s word. “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you.” Gen 12:3

IRAN’S NEW PRESIDENT IS NO “MODERATE”: Hassan Rohani, Iran's new President, is being termed a “moderate” in Western media, but his moderation stops when it comes to Israel. In his first speech in July as Iran's new leader, Rohani quickly launched into a diatribe against Israel, blaming the Jewish state for Iran's economic woes. On Friday he was cited as saying that Israel "has been a wound on the body of the Islamic world for years and should be removed."  Prior to and since Rohani’s election victory, Tehran has continued to expand its nuclear program. Iran has been installing and running more advanced IR-2 centrifuge machines, which are seen as capable of tripling Iran's production rate of nuclear fuel, drastically reducing the time it would need to break out and produce weapons-grade materials. In July, PM Benjamin Netanyahu told an American audience on "Face the Nation" that regarding its 20% enriched uranium, Iran was just 60 kg. short of crossing his "red line." (J.Post)

NASRALLAH: DESTROYING ISRAEL IS THE INTEREST OF ALL ARABS: Destroying Israel is the interest of the entire Arab world, Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah declared on Friday. The head of the Lebanese terror group made a rare public appearance at a Beirut rally held to mark Iran’s Quds Day. It was his first appearance in public since last September. In his speech, Nasrallah thanked "Iran and Syria for all they have given to resistance movements (fighting Israel) in Lebanon and Palestine." Nasrallah called for the end of Israel, saying its elimination "is in the interest not only of the Palestinians but the entire Arab and Muslim world." He also slammed supporters of radical to jihadist Sunni groups who have been fighting in Syria alongside other rebels to oust the regime of President Assad. Hizbullah’s terrorists have been actively helping Assad’s troops fight the rebels. (Arutz-7)

EREKAT: ISRAEL TO RELEASE 26 PALESTINIAN PRISONERS BY MID-AUGUST: Israel is expected to release 26 Palestinian terrorist prisoners on August 13 to constitute the first of four stages of prisoner releases as a gesture for resuming direct peace talks, Chief PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat said Saturday. Erekat's statement to Palestinian news sources mirrored that of Israel's chief negotiator Tzipi Livni on Friday about expected peace talk proceedings within the next two weeks. Meanwhile, The IDF and Shin Bet have released their report on terrorist attacks in July. Over the course of the month, 38 Israelis were wounded in terrorist assaults. Among the wounded was a young toddler who suffered a head injury when Arabs hurled stones at a Jewish family near the Old City of Jerusalem. An eight-year-old Jewish boy was also injured in a rock-throwing attack in the Old City, and a baby girl was wounded in a rock attack on a bus heading for the Western Wall. Terrorists carried out at least 55 firebomb attacks over the course of the month, targeting civilian buses and Israeli travelers in Judea and Samaria. (INN)

1,000 JURISTS TO EU: SETTLEMENTS ARE LEGAL: A mammoth jurists' petition delivered to European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton states the EU is wrong in holding that Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria are illegal, and that the term “1967 lines” does not exist in international law. Among the signatories are former justice minister Prof. Yaakov Ne'eman; former UN Ambassador Dr. Meir Rosen and Britain's Baroness Prof. Ruth Deech. They include legal scholars from the US, Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Chile, Czechoslovakia, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Malta, Holland, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Taiwan, South Africa, Sweden and, of course, Israel. The man behind the initiative is Dr. Alan Baker, Israel's legal adviser to the Foreign Ministry, who currently heads the International Action Division of the Legal Forum for Israel. Dr. Baker explained there is “no such thing” as the 1967 lines. “The matter of the borders is on the agenda of the negotiations. The EU cannot dictate a subject that is on the agenda of the negotiations. The pre-1967 lines are (1949) armistice lines. These are not recognized lines or security lines. In the Oslo process, it was agreed between us and the Palestinians that the matter of borders will be negotiated. The term '1967 lines' does not appear anywhere in our agreement with the Palestinians.” (Arutz-7) Pray the unjust EU sanctions recently placed on Israel’s Judea and Samaria communities – stating settlements there are not legally part of the Jewish state – will be quickly reversed.
