KERRY: ISRAEL, PALESTINIANS AGREE TO HOLD SUSTAINED TALKS ON ALL ISSUES: The Israeli and Palestinian negotiators will meet again within two weeks in either Israel or the Palestinian territories to continue peace talks, US Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday following the initial round of talks in Washington. He declared that the parties in the historic conflict had agreed to hold "sustained, continuous and substantive" conversations on all issues requiring resolution for a final peace agreement. Kerry said he was convinced they could make peace. It was also announced that in "the coming days" the Israeli government will be "taking steps" to ease security measures in Judea, Samaria and on its border with Gaza. Israel has already agreed to free 104 convicted terrorist murderers, and it is not clear what concessions - if any - will be made by the PA. (J.Post/Ha’aretz) The enemy’s tactic is to wear out G-d’s people with relentless pressure to comply with the same unjust, unreasonable, unsafe demands on the part of Israel’s foes in return for a bogus peace. Pray Israel’s leaders will not be worn down by such tactics or give way to the false hope of “land for peace.”

PA MINISTER: NEW PEACE TALKS WILL HELP US CONQUER ISRAEL LATER: PA Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash reassured Palestinians last week that the political peace process with Israel is just part of a larger scheme to defeat their enemy. In a PA televised sermon, Al-Habbash compared the US-driven peace negotiations to the Hudaybiyyah Peace Treaty concluded between Islam's prophet Mohammed and the Quraish tribe of Mecca. He explained that many of Mohammed's companions burned with anger that their leader was negotiating with the Quraish tribe rather than attacking Mecca. But Mohammed knew that only a more measured approach would lead to victory. Two years after signing the treaty, Mohammed's forces had gained enough strength and he launched the brutal conquest of Mecca. "This is the example and this is the model" the Palestinian leadership is following regarding Israel, Al-Habbash acknowledged. Amazingly, all of the doe-eyed Israeli commentators who believe this round of negotiations is going to be different from all the previous fail to take the simple step of listening to what the Palestinians themselves are saying. "Abbas is a real peace partner," they shout, while willfully ignoring what Abbas' own ministers are telling the public, in his name and in his presence, without any refutation by the "president." ABBAS: THERE WILL BE NO ISRAELIS IN ‘PALESTINE’: "In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli - civilian or soldier - on our lands," Abbas told reporters in Cairo on Monday. The statement was a difficult one for Israelis to swallow, especially since one of Abbas' peace demands is that Israel will provide thousands more work permits to Palestinian laborers and open its gates to settlement by millions of so-called "Palestinian refugees." But that the Palestinians expect their future state to be Judenrein - cleansed of Jews - was never in doubt. Even now, Jews are not permitted to live inside the PA-controlled territory, and the sale of land to Jews is punishable by death. Abbas also told Cairo journalists, "East Jerusalem will be the capital of the Palestinian state." Observers note that while the future “Palestine” in the PA head's vision is apparently to be “Judenrein” (“Jew-free” in the German term employed by the Nazis) Israel will, of course, remain anything but “Arabrein." Arabs make up about 20% of the Jewish state, enjoy full equal rights and regularly elect representatives to the Knesset who openly despise the state in whose parliament they serve, support terrorists and issue calls to their fellow Arabs to rise up against the Jewish state. (INN) “Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.” Ps 124:6

KATZ: FREEING TERRORISTS WILL NOT CHANGE PALESTINIAN HATRED TOWARDS ISRAEL: Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz expressed skepticism Monday that the latest round of peace talks between Israel and the PA would lead to any results, as Justice Minister Tzipi Livni arrived in Washington to begin the discussions. "Our partners are vile people," Katz told Israel’s Channel 2. "They do not really come in order to start with a clean slate. The education system in the PA calls for hatred of Jews, for our extinction. It starts there at a very young age and everyone knows this.” He noted that the 104 terrorist prisoners Israel voted to release as a gesture to PA Chairman Abbas were imprisoned before the 1993 Oslo Accord and commented that “even Rabin refused to release terrorists.” Katz, who voted against freeing the terrorists, said that as soon as the decision was made to carry out the release, the entire government is now obligated towards it. He made it clear, however, that freeing terrorists will not change the other side's hatred towards Israel. Men who kidnapped and murdered teenagers, school teachers and off-duty soldiers, Palestinian fighters who killed suspected collaborators and men from Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip - with whom they had worked or lived side-by-side with for years - are among the 104 prisoners to be released as a gesture to the PA. HAMAS TRIES TO PATCH UP TIES WITH IRAN, HIZBULLAH: Senior Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzouk recently met with Hizbullah members at the Iranian embassy in Beirut. The meeting focused on increasing Iranian support for Hamas. According to a Hamas source in Gaza, there have been other meetings, all of which stressed that Hamas is a strategic partner to Iran. Hamas is so desperate following the ouster of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi that it is now seeking to mend fences with Iran. Relations between the Gaza Strip terrorist group, Hamas, and Iran became strained after Hamas supported the rebels fighting against Syrian President Assad's regime. Hamas leaders believed the support of Qatar and Egypt's ruling Muslim Brotherhood would make up for the loss of its allies in Tehran and Damascus. But now, Hamas has lost the backing of Egypt and its leaders realize they cannot depend only on Qatar's support. (Times of Israel)

SYRIAN REBEL SUPPORTERS COULD TERRORIZE WEST: An increasing number of Muslim extremists with Western passports are flocking to Syria to join forces opposed to Syrian President Assad, according to media reports. Concern is growing among Western intelligence agencies regarding the threat of terror from those extremists when they return to their home countries. Senior intelligence sources say about 600 Western citizens are fighting in Syria and that they will return to the West more extreme than ever and receive instructions from the Al-Qaeda international terror network to carry out attacks. ISRAEL PREPARES TO EXPAND ITS SUBMARINE FLEET: The Israeli navy is preparing to expand its fleet of German-built Dolphin-class submarines that will give it the only seaborne nuclear missile capability in the Middle East. Three early-model Dolphins are already in service and reportedly range as far as the Indian Ocean south of Iran. But the navy's moving closer to deploying two more of the 1,720-ton, diesel-electric boats. The fourth Dolphin was handed over to the Israeli navy in May 2012 and is due to become operational within the next few months following sea tests and evaluation. The fifth boat is expected to arrive in Israel's northern port of Haifa around mid-2014. A contract for a sixth Dolphin, the most advanced of the series, was signed with the German government in May 2012. Additionally, Israel’s navy has begun installing the Barak 8 medium-range missile, designed to intercept airborne threats, including enemy aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-ship missiles and cruise missiles. The Barak 8 would provide a defense against the Russian Yakhont missile. (Israel Hayom/AFP)

BILL SEEKS TO ADVANCE US EMBASSY MOVE TO JERUSALEM: Members of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus have introduced legislation in the United States Congress that would move the US embassy - now located in Tel Aviv - to Israel’s capital Jerusalem. The bill is the latest attempt to put pressure on the Obama administration to acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel's capital, a step the administration and past administrations have been unwilling to take. The bill was introduced Friday, just a few days before Israel and the Palestinian Authority were set to resume peace talks in Washington. Earlier in the year, members of the House and Senate proposed a similar bill, requiring the US to recognize Jerusalem as the capital and relocate the embassy. The Obama administration has come under intense pressure from pro-Israel groups throughout the duration of his presidency for his failure to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. (INN) Pray this bill will pass. The recognition of Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the Jewish people is long overdue.

OHIO PURCHASES $42 MILLION IN ISRAEL BONDS DESPITE BDS: "We believe this is a sound investment for the taxpayers of Ohio," stated Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel, who facilitated the purchase of $42 million worth of Israel Bonds. In response, several anti-Israel groups in America have decried the move with full page media ads. In a letter to the Cleveland Jewish News, the Cleveland Jewish Community Relations Committee defended the purchase and criticized the protest. "The BDS movement, [a campaign of boycotts, divestment and sanctions against Israel], which bills itself as 'peace-seeking,' is a divisive and morally wrong strategy. The Ohio treasurer should be applauded for investing Ohio's tax dollars in responsible securities that fund infrastructure to benefit all Israelis, Jewish and Arab. State of Israel Bonds generate high yields and make smart economic sense for the citizens of Ohio," stated chair of the committee Warren Wolfson. (Arutz-7)
