“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. And from such people turn away!” 2 Tim 3:1-5

IAF CHIEF: S-300 IS EN ROUTE TO SYRIA; SURPRISE WAR IS POSSIBLE: IAF Commander, Major General Amir Eshel, spoke this week about the IAF's preparedness for a surprise war scenario with Syria and said the S-300 anti-aircraft system is on its way to Syria. "A surprise war can come about through many scenarios at present," he said. “Isolated incidents can escalate very quickly, and we are committed to being ready in a matter of hours and to operate up to the end of the spectrum." Eshel explained that Assad has invested billions in buying the best weapons systems Russia can offer, including the S-300, which is en route to Syria. Merely possessing these systems will make Assad more belligerent and daring.” He warned that should Syria collapse tomorrow, “we may find ourselves very quickly with this huge weapons arsenal scattering and facing Israel. If, in the Second Lebanon War, we used only part of our abilities, in the next war we will have to give 100%, so that the operation will be fast and very powerful." (Arutz-7) Analysts have explained for months that Russia has its reasons for preserving good relations with Syria. Russia is one of Syria's biggest arms suppliers.

PM: SANCTIONS HAVE FAILED IN STOPPING IRAN’S NUCLEAR QUEST:
Economic and diplomatic pressure has failed to stop Iran’s nuclear program, PM Binyamin Netanyahu told British FM William Hague on Thursday. “The just released report of the International Atomic Energy Agency shows clearly Iran is continuing to expand its nuclear enrichment program,” Netanyahu said. “In parallel, Iran is working on a heavy-water reactor to build a plutonium-based bomb. This is the biggest challenge facing us. I think it’s the biggest challenge of our time,” said Netanyahu. The UN atomic agency on Wednesday detailed rapid Iranian progress in two programs geared toward making nuclear weapons, saying Tehran has upgraded its uranium enrichment facilities and advanced in building a plutonium-producing reactor. The report said Tehran had installed close to 700 high-tech centrifuges for uranium enrichment, and had added hundreds of older-generation machines at its main enrichment site to bring the total number to more than 13,000. (J.Post) Israel for months has been in the lead with urgent warnings that Iran is simply manipulating global leaders and stalling for time with periodic pretenses of co-operation regarding its illegal nuclear enrichment program. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, it has continued to expand its nuclear capabilities with the intent of producing a nuclear weapon, placing the Jewish state in life threatening danger. Pray for wisdom and strategy to be given to those at the helm in Israel’s government and military to know how to deal with Iran’s increasing nuclear danger.

TWO SUSPECTS IN ARGENTINA JEWISH CENTER BOMBING RUNNING FOR IRAN PRESIDENT: Two suspects in the bombing of the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires are candidates in Iran’s presidential election. Mohsen Rezai and Ali Akbar Velayati, who are believed to have planned the 1994 attack, were among the eight candidates approved Tuesday for the June 14 election by Iran’s Guardian Council to succeed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Iranian constitution bars Ahmadinejad from seeking re-election. Rezai is under an international arrest warrant, or red notice, from the Interpol international police agency. Argentina has accused the Iranian government of directing the bombing, which killed 85 and wounded 300, and the Lebanon-based terror group Hizbullah of carrying it out. No arrests have been made in the case. Six Iranians have been on Interpol’s most wanted list since 2007 in connection with the bombing, including Iran’s current defense minister, Gen. Ahmed Vahidi. GERMAN INTELLIGENCE SAYS ASSAD REGAINING HOLD: Germany's foreign intelligence agency, the BND, has changed its view of the ongoing civil war in Syria. The BND now believes the Syrian military is capable of undertaking successful operations against rebel units at will. Assad's troops once again possess effective supply lines to ensure sufficient quantities of weapons and other materiel. Fuel supplies for tanks and military aircraft, which had proved troublesome, are once again available. Fighters loyal to Assad have expelled rebel fighters from several districts on the edge of Damascus and cut off their supply lines. Meanwhile, the different rebel groups are fighting with each other to attain supremacy in individual regions. The BND says there is no functional chain of command between opposition leaders abroad and those inside Syria. The fighters on the ground simply don't recognize political leadership. (Daily Alert)

JUDEA & SAMARIA TERROR DOUBLES IN 6 MONTHS: The Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee discussed on Wednesday the rapidly deteriorating security situation in Judea and Samaria. The session was convened to address complaints by soldiers that their hands are effectively tied in the confrontation with Arab terrorists, because of strict orders regarding the use of live fire. Committee Chairman, MK Moti Yogev, said that since Operation Pillar of Defense last November, there has been a rise of 112% in the volume of terrorist activities in the sector, as compared to the previous year. These terror acts include firing from light weapons, rock throwing, fire bombs and improvised explosive devices. MK Yogev identified three factors that have led to the rise in terror. The first is the removal of checkpoints that had been scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. The second is a growing reliance on PA "security forces." The third, and possibly the worst, according to Yogev, is the policy of "containment" according to which initiative and retaliation are cut to a bare minimum, in order to minimize Arab casualties. "This policy has caused terrorists' daring to rise," he said, "and IDF soldiers have no authority on the ground today." (INN) Pray Israel’s military personnel will be given the authority they need to halt Palestinian terrorists - including those throwing stones at Israeli drivers in ever-increasing measure.

ARAB MOB PELTS FIREFIGHTERS WITH ROCKS AS THEY PUT OUT BLAZE: An Israeli firefighter was injured in an Arab riot in Jerusalem Thursday, as he sought to extinguish a blaze. The fire had broken out next to an Arab village within the municipal boundaries of Jerusalem. A fire truck was dispatched to douse the blaze before it had a chance to spread too far. The firefighters were greeted by a large mob of Arabs, who attacked them with stones and bricks. One firefighter was injured and hospitalized for treatment. Police were called in to clear the area and allow the firefighters to continue putting out the blaze. Also Thursday, Jerusalem police arrested three Arabs who attacked a Jew in the Old City Wednesday. At least five Arabs were involved in the assault, and police expect to make more arrests. (Arutz-7) Pray against increasingly bold terrorist attacks in the Jerusalem area.

BRITISH SOLDIER HACKED TO DEATH IN ISLAMIST ATTACK IN LONDON: A British soldier was butchered Wednesday on a busy London street by two Islamist terrorists. The men attempted to behead the soldier, hacking at him in front of dozens of witnesses, before both were shot by police. After the killing, one of the men - a British-born Muslim convert - spoke calmly into a witness's video phone. "We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you until you leave us alone. Your people will never be safe. The only reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying by British soldiers every day." Witnesses said the men used a car to run over the soldier just yards from the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London, before setting about him with knives and a meat cleaver. As they attacked the soldier, one of the men shouted "Allahu akbar." (Telegraph-UK)

RAGE IN LONDON AFTER ‘UNFORGIVABLE’ BEHEADING: There is shock in Britain following the gruesome murder of a soldier by Muslims this week. "There is rage in London; the feelings are very bad,” said a Jewish resident of Golders Green. “London is having a hard time dealing with this kind of cruel terror. Muslims beheading a soldier – that is an unforgivable deed.” There were riots and confrontations in different parts of London Thursday, and two mosques were attacked. PM David Cameron cut short a visit to Paris and returned to London in order to convene the security cabinet. Home Secretary Theresa May described the attack as "sickening and barbaric.” Israel’s President Shimon Peres wrote a letter of sympathy to Queen Elizabeth following the heart-rending assault in which he expressed, condolences over the shocking and brutal terrorist attack in London. "Terror is a global threat, and Israel stands by your side at this hour." (INN)

RADICAL MUSLIM CLERIC WHO IS BANNED FROM BRITAIN APPLAUDS TERRORIST'S COURAGE: A radical Muslim cleric has applauded the “courage” of Woolwich terrorist Michael Adebolajo, calling him a hero as it was claimed the killer had listened to his preaching. Omar Bakri Mohammed, who is banned from Britain, said decapitating those opposed to Islam is allowed. Speaking from abroad, the cleric said, “I saw the film and we could see that he [Adebolajo] was being very courageous. Under Islam this can be justified, he was not targeting civilians, he was taking on a military man in an operation. To people in the Middle East he is a hero.” Bakri Mohammed said he knew Adebolajo personally and converted him to Islam. According to the cleric, who now lives in exile in Lebanon, he owned a stall in London, which Adebolajo would visit. The pair would talk about the “meaning of life” and Adebolajo began attending open meetings. (MailOnline)

ANGELS OF WOOLWICH: Three women were the “Angels of Woolwich” who bravely risked their own lives to comfort the soldier left dying in the street. Gemini Donnelly-Martin, 20, and her mother Amanda, stepped forward and asked the attackers if they could be by Drummer Lee Rigby's side. Their refusal to be cowed by the terrorists won praise from all quarters. Gemini modestly insisted she and her mother were not heroes and had done what anyone else would do. She told reporters: “We just wanted to take care of the man. It wasn't brave. Anyone would have done it. The only thing people need to worry about is that poor man's mum.” When it became apparent Drummer Lee Rigby was beyond their help, they shielded his body from further desecration by his savage attackers. Amanda, 44, insisted she be allowed to pray for the dead man even when confronted by one of the killer. Kneeling at his side, she cradled him gently, seemingly unfazed by his horrific wounds. At the same time, Ingrid Loyau-Kennett remonstrated with the fanatics, despite her fears they would attack again. The mother of two asked them to hand over their bloodstained weapons and listened to their hate-filled tirade about wanting to ignite ‘war in London’. She selflessly tried to draw the men’s attention, later saying: “Better me than a child.” (MailOnline) “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev 21: 4
