POLL: ISRAELI AMERICAN VOTERS FAVOR ROMNEY IN US ELECTIONS: Some 85% of Americans living in Israel voted for Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the upcoming US election, according to a poll conducted by iVoteIsrael. The poll that surveyed 1572 voters, found a clear preference for the Republican Party in Congress as well, with 62% voting GOP and only 28% voting Democratic. The future of Jerusalem and peace process negotiations were cited as primary motivating factors for voting among Americans living in Israel (61.3%). Other notable issues were jobs and economy (11.2%) and Iran (11.2%). 80,000 Americans from Israel have submitted their ballots to their local county board, an unprecedented 400% increase from the 2008 election in which only 20,000 voted. (J.Post) This election is of critical importance for the people and nation of Israel as well as for all Americans. Regardless of AIPAC’s claim that Obama is the best friend the Jewish state has ever had, in Israel people know better: In polls taken here, the vast majority of the population holds that not only is Obama not a friend, but that he is clearly an enemy and a threat to the security of the Jewish state. Someone once said, "As it goes for Israel so it goes for the Church." Therefore, this is a clarion call for the Church to vote in a pro-Israel president and government.

OBAMA, ROMNEY VIRTUALLY TIED IN ELECTIONS RACE: President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney were virtually tied in a Reuters poll released Thursday, with the Democrats leading by a single percentage point mere days before the Nov. 6 US election. Obama leads Romney 48% to 47%, a 1 percentage point drop for Obama and 1 percentage point rise for Romney from Sunday's tracking poll. (Reuters) Once again, make every effort in intercession and participation to help bring about victory on Nov. 6 for candidates standing for Israel and for Biblical principles. As Billy Graham’s son, Franklin, said days ago: "When America’s leaders actively promote and legislate immorality, restrict the religious freedoms that our country was founded on, and are openly hostile to men and women of faith, then I believe we are ripe for God’s judgment. So pray and then vote on Nov. 6, asking God for His mercy and grace upon our land."

SLAIN LIBYA HERO’S DAD: HILLARY LIED TO ME: The father of ex-Marine Tyrone Woods gave an emotional interview to Fox News this week in which he blamed the White House for refusing to send help to the US consular compound in Benghazi when it came under a terror attack September 11. Tyrone disobeyed orders to stand down and came to the assistance of the besieged consulate. He was subsequently killed in the attack. Larger US forces that could have come to the consulate's aid did not do so, upon orders from above. "They watched my son die," said Charles Woods. When asked by Hannity why he thinks the White House concealed the nature of the attack for weeks on end, he replied: "I don't know what their motivation is, but Hillary, when the bodies were flown in, she had the nerve to lie to me. I knew she wasn't telling me the truth. She's smarter than I am. She had to know the story she gave me about the film was not the truth either." He was referring to the Obama administration spin that portrayed the attack as a spontaneous reaction by an angry Muslim crowd to an unprofessional anti-Islamic video made by private citizens in California. American media says it has proof of a cover-up that Obama administration officials ignored three pleas for help during the al-Qaeda terror attack on the US consulate in Benghazi. (INN) Pray for the comforting of this bereaved father and for the truth to fully be revealed regarding the Benghazi terrorist attack.

IRAN CONFIRMS IT IS COMPLETING ITS NUCLEAR ACTIVITIES: The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Fereidoun Abbasi, said this week that Iran is completing its nuclear goals. Asked about recent media reports on Iran's new centrifuges in the Fordow uranium enrichment facility, Abbasi told reporters Wednesday the Islamic Republic is carrying out its nuclear activities as scheduled regardless of the negative western media speculations and reports. "We are doing our job according to our specified timeline, and we are accomplishing them. Our response to such reports is working harder," Abbasi was quoted as saying. His remarks came a week after Western diplomats said it appears as though Tehran is in its final stages of placing centrifuges at Fordow. (Arutz-7)

FRENCH PRESIDENT WARNS IRAN AFTER MEETING ISRAEL’S PM: French President Francois Hollande this week said he wanted "concrete acts" from Iran to prove it was not pursuing a nuclear arms drive after his first face-to-face meeting with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Hollande warned that Paris would back "other sanctions" if Tehran failed to convince on its contested nuclear program. "This is a threat which cannot be accepted by France," Hollande said. "We have voted for many sanctions and are ready to vote for others as long as necessary," he said, demanding "proof that Iran has abandoned this drive." Netanyahu hailed the extremely important position taken by Hollande. (AFP)

BARAK: ISRAEL ALMOST ATTACKED IRAN 8 MONTHS AGO: In a press interview this week, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Israel almost attacked Iran eight months ago – but that the "moment of truth" was postponed after Iran redirected part of its enriched uranium to civilian uses. Without that decision, a confrontation with Iran would have almost certainly developed, said Barak. When asked why he thought Iran made this decision, Barak said there are at least three explanations. One was the public discussion about a possible attack on Iran. It could also be the result of diplomatic pressure not to make things more tense before the US presidential elections. It could also be an attempt by Iran to show the International Atomic Energy Agency that it can comply with international requests when it wishes, Barak added. When asked about future Israeli plans to attack Iran, Barak said simply, "Israel reserves the right to defend itself, by itself. An action against Iran will be much safer than an attack against an Iran that achieves nuclear capability." Sanctions and diplomatic pressure have not worked, said Barak, and he warned that as a result, Israel and its allies will have to deal with the decision on whether or not to attack Iran's nuclear facilities "in the coming year." NETANYAHU: ARAB WORLD WOULD BE RELIEVED IF ISRAEL WERE TO STRIKE IRAN NUKES: In an interview published in a French magazine Tuesday, PM Binyamin Netanyahu was quoted as saying an Israeli strike on Iran would benefit neighboring Arab states. Disregarding critics who claim a strike would only worsen tensions in the region, Netanyahu said he believed a strike would in fact ease tensions in the Middle East and benefit the region by eliminating a potential threat. "Iran is not popular in the Arab world, far from it, and some governments in the region, as well as their citizens, have understood a nuclear armed Iran would be dangerous for them, not just for Israel," he said. However, a report in the UK press Thursday said senior US military officials have warned Israel that if Jerusalem carries out a strike on Iran, it should not expect any help from Arab countries in the Middle East. According to the report, the US was recently told by several of its allies in the Middle East that they would refuse to get involved in the conflict, not even providing passive assistance, even if the US was involved – because of fear of the "Arab street" that would probably look unkindly on such assistance. Arab sources voiced concern that if the strike was unsuccessful, or only partially successful, Iran would seek vengeance against them. (INN)

REPORT: SUDAN AIR RAID WAS ISRAEL’S TEST RUN FOR IRAN STRIKE: The aerial bombardment of a weapons factory in Sudan last week was indeed carried out by Israel, and was seen as a test run for a larger strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, according to a report in London's Sunday Times. Citing unnamed Israeli and Western military sources, the British newspaper reported eight Israeli fighter jets had taken part in the long-range mission. Four of the fighters actually bombed the factory, while the other four provided cover. The commando teams were kept in reserve in case a pilot was downed. But that scenario was unlikely due to the capabilities of the electronic warfare plane, which apparently succeeded in totally masking the Israelis' penetration of Sudan's air defenses. In addition to eliminating a major link in the Iran-to-Gaza arms smuggling operation, the Sudan air raid sent a clear message to Iran of what Israel is capable of, even against distant enemies. Israeli officials believe by next spring it will be too late to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons, and that international diplomatic efforts have already failed, making military action all but inevitable. IRISH TV HOST BRANDS ISRAEL AS A CANCER: In a topical discussion about the final US presidential debate last week – which focused on foreign policy – Vincent Browne, the host of Ireland’s TV3 "Tonight" program, complained the "issue of Israel" was hardly mentioned. "Israel, is the cancer in foreign affairs," said Browne. He added that Israel "polarizes the Islamic community of the world against the rest of the world. "Unless you deal with the problem of Israel and the Palestinians, there’s going to be conflict and disharmony. It’s a massive injustice, Israel stole the land from the Arabs," he maintained. His remarks led to a sharp rebuke from Israel’s deputy ambassador to Ireland Nurit Tinari-Modai, who said the embassy received numerous emails and phone calls from people outraged by the 68-year-old broadcaster’s remarks. The deputy ambassador said that the embassy had approached TV3 and offered a pro-Israeli guest to appear on his show, but the suggestion was declined. Defending his remarks, Browne said it was an "infelicitous use" of the word but maintained his comments were justified. (J.Post) Browne’s comments sound precisely the same as anti-Israel hate talk coming from Iranian leaders, such as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. These men have often referred to the Jewish state as a "cancer," needing to be eliminated. Pray Ireland will not give way to antisemitic, anti-Israel mindsets and will disregard uninformed, malicious comments such as those passed off as the truth by Vincent Browne.

JEWS OF DIASPORA AND ISRAEL ARE UNDER ATTACK: Prominent French-Jewish intellectual Bernard-Henri Lévy declared Tuesday that Jews in Israel and around the world are under attack from the twin threats of antisemitism in the guise of anti-Zionism, and total war against the State of Israel. Speaking at a conference on the future of the Jewish people, Lévy labeled the phenomenon of anti-Zionism as the new mutation of the antisemitism virus. "The challenge we have to face is a new system of legitimacy to express antisemitism that revolves around hatred of Israel and anti-Zionism," he said. Hatred of Israel, denial or partial denial of the Holocaust, and the identification of Palestinians as the only legitimate victims, he explained, form the basis of the anti-Zionist and antisemitic onslaught. In addition, he said, Iran, Hizbullah and Hamas are planning a total war constituting a serious threat to the State of Israel and the Jewish people. (J.Post) "But I will rescue you on that day," declares the Lord. "You will not be given into the hands of those you fear. I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life." Jer 39: 17-18
