“I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation shall not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel.” Isa 46:13

YOM KIPPUR 2012: Tuesday September 25 at sunset marks the beginning of this year’s Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). The observance ends at dusk Wednesday, September 26. Yom Kippur is a major fast day meant to be devoted to communal and personal repentance for sins committed over the course of the previous year. It is the most solemn day in the Jewish calendar. Pray especially for Israel during these coming hours; for spiritual insight and for the peace of Jerusalem. "I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to me for I have redeemed you." Isa 44:22

SENATE INSISTS USA PREVENT NUCLEAR IRAN: The US Senate on Saturday passed by a 90-1 vote a non-binding resolution insisting that the United States prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and ruling out any strategy aimed at dealing with a nuclear-armed Iran. The only senator to vote against the measure was Republican Rand Paul who argued it was a de-facto declaration of war. (J.Post)

TEHRAN DISPLAYS MISSILES CAPABLE OF REACHING ISRAEL: Iranian military commanders on Friday threatened the complete destruction of the State of Israel as the country unveiled a domestically manufactured air defense system, various Iranian news agencies reported. Iran proudly paraded its military hardware under the gaze of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who used the event to again defiantly lash out at Israel and the West. During the event, Iran's Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh warned that the day a conflict begins, the number of missiles launched would be more than the Zionists could imagine. "If a conflict breaks out, the Zionist regime would be able to manage the beginning of the war, but the response and end would be in our hands, in which case the Zionist entity would cease to exist," the commander said. (Ha'aretz/Ynet) “No weapon formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue which accuses you in judgment you shall condemn.” Isa 54:17

BOYCOTT AHMADINEJAD SPEECH TO UN: Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin met on Friday with heads of parliaments in France. He asked them to work so that leaders of nations will boycott the speech of Iranian President Ahmadinejad to the UN General Assembly in New York this week. Addressing dozens of parliament speakers, Rivlin referred to a military parade in Tehran on Friday. "The time has come to turn declarations into actions," the Knesset speaker said. "Every day, the world is exposed to Iranian lies and nuclear infrastructure, which it is presenting for all to see. As Iran's capabilities become more apparent, Europe must understand that they are threatened, as well, and they must act." Revlin added that "Each day the world is exposed to the lies of Iran. It is necessary to isolate it because time is running out." (INN)

IRAN ATOMIC OFFICIAL SAYS IRAN GAVE FALSE DATA TO FOOL SPIES: Iran’s top atomic energy official said Thursday that because of foreign espionage his government had sometimes provided false information to protect its nuclear program. Israel and Western powers have called this a cloak used by the Islamic Republic to hide the development of its nuclear weapons capacity. Fereydoon Abbasi, who heads Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said, "We presented false information in order to protect our nuclear position and our achievements, as there is no other choice but to mislead foreign intelligence. Sometimes we present a weakness we do not really have, and sometimes we appear to have power without having it." (NY Times)

IRAN SEEN BEHIND CYBER ATTACKS ON US BANKS: US National security officials said continuing cyber attacks last week that slowed the websites of JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America are being carried out by the government of Iran. Sources acknowledge that Iranian attacks have been the subject of intense investigation by US intelligence for several weeks. A group of hackers in the Middle East has claimed credit for problems at the websites of both banks, citing the online video mocking the founder of Islam as its motive. One security source called that statement "a cover" for the Iranian government's operations. (NBC)

PAKISTAN: 19 KILLED IN ANTI- ISLAM FILM PROTESTS: Violent crowds furious over an anti-Islamic film made in the US convulsed several cities across Pakistan on Friday in a day of state-sanctioned protests. The nation’s leading television station reported as many as 19 people were killed. It was the worst single day of deadly violence in one Muslim country over the film, “Innocence of Muslims,” since the protests began nearly two weeks ago in Egypt and later spread to two dozen countries around the world. The unrest came as governments and Western institutions in many parts of the Muslim world braced for protests after Friday Prayer - an occasion often associated with demonstrations as worshipers leave mosques. In Tunisia, the authorities invoked emergency powers to outlaw all demonstrations, fearing an outpouring of anti-Western protest inspired both by the American-made film and by cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a French satirical weekly. Also on Friday, France confirmed it would allow no street protests against cartoons denigrating Islam's Prophet Muhammad that were published by a French magazine last week. Interior Minister Manuel Valls said districts throughout the country had orders to prohibit any protest over the issue and crack down if the ban was challenged. (J.Post/NYTimes)

LIBYANS STORM FORMER BASE OF GADAFFI’S SECURITY FORCES: Demonstrators on Friday pulled down militia flags and set a vehicle on fire inside what was once the base of Gaddafi's security forces. Hundreds of men waving swords and even a meat cleaver chanted "Libya, Libya, no more al Qaeda!" and "The blood we shed for freedom shall not go in vain!" Demonstrator Hassan Ahmed said, "After what happened at the American consulate, the people of Benghazi have had enough of the extremists.” Omar Mohammed, a university student who took part in the takeover of the site, said, "I don't want to see armed men wearing Afghani-style clothes stopping me in the street to give me orders. I only want to see people in uniform." Libya's government has promised Washington it would find the perpetrators of what appeared to be a well planned attack on the US consulate, which coincided with protests against an anti-Islam video and the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. IDF SOLDIER KILLED, ANOTHER WOUNDED IN CLASHES ON ISRAEL-EGYPT BORDER: An Israeli soldier was killed and another was moderately wounded Friday in clashes between IDF forces and terrorists along the Israel-Egypt border. Corporal Netanel Yahalomi, 20-years-old was killed in the attack. The terrorist cell approached the border from Sinai and opened fire on IDF soldiers, located some 100 meters away. The soldiers were stationed there to oversee construction work on the border fence. The first shots fired killed one IDF soldier, who was still undergoing training in the artillery core. The force then returned fire and killed one of the terrorists. Additional IDF forces, immediately sent to the scene, closed in on the terrorists, killing two more. One of the soldiers was wounded after shots fired at a terrorist triggered an explosive belt he was carrying on him. IDF officials said the quantity of weapons that were found on the attackers indicate they were planning a large terror attack. (Ha’aretz) Pray for the comforting of Netanel Yahalomi’s family and friends, also for the full recovery of the second soldier wounded in Friday’s tragic attack.

ROMNEY: PA STATE AIRSPACE WOULD ENDANGER ISRAEL: In Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney's now famous “secret” video, he reveals and intuitively explains another existential threat to Israel from a Palestinian State in any part of Judea and Samaria. Romney warns of the danger of Palestinian Arab State airspace seven miles from Tel Aviv, abutting 70% of Israel’s Jewish population and 80% of Israel’s industrial base. This is what Gov. Romney actually said: "And then how about the airport? How about flying into this Palestinian nation? Are we going to allow military aircraft to come in - and weaponry to come in? And if not, who's going to keep it from coming in? Well, the Israelis. Well, the Palestinians are going to say, ‘We're not an independent nation if Israel is able to come in and tell us what can land at our airport.’ These are problems, and they're very hard to solve." (Arutz-7) Local residents know Gov. Romney’s statements reflect accurate insight into one of the Jewish State’s security issues with the Palestinians. Israel has absolutely no firm ground for trusting the Palestinian Authority will co-operate, to the smallest degree, should its demanded state be established. Thus far Israel has made every concession in an effort to pave a pathway to peace and co-operation with the Palestinians.  In return they continue to increase their impossible demands, honor terrorists who have murdered Israelis in the past and educate their children to hate Jews, Israel and the West.
