SATELLITE IMAGES SHOW IRAN SITE BUILDINGS COMPLETELY RAZED SAYS US THINK TANK: A US security institute has published satellite images which it said increased concerns that Iran was trying to "destroy evidence" of suspected past research relevant for developing a nuclear weapons capability, a charge Tehran dismisses. The Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS) posted them on its website hours after diplomats said the UN atomic watchdog showed what appeared to be similar imagery at a closed-door briefing in Vienna. Western envoys who attended Wednesday's briefing said two small side buildings at the Parchin military facility had been removed, and ISIS said its pictures from May 25 showed they "have been completely razed." The disclosure followed inconclusive talks between Iran and six world powers in Baghdad last week to address concerns about the nature of its nuclear activities. The UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has repeatedly asked Iran for access to Parchin as part of a long-stalled probe into suspicions Tehran may be seeking the ability to assemble nuclear bombs. Iran has so far refused to let inspectors visit the facility. The new satellite images add to Western suspicions that Iran is "sanitizing" the site of incriminating evidence before allowing the IAEA to go there. (Ha’aretz)

IRAN SAYS MILITARY INTERVENTION IN SYRIA WOULD ENGULF ISRAEL: Any crisis caused by a military intervention in Syria would engulf Israel, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani warned days ago. His comments came as the US hinted at bypassing the UN to put an end to Syria's 14-month assault on its opposition. Speaking to reporters after mediator Kofi Annan's spokesman gave the 15-nation council a bleak assessment of the impact of efforts to halt the violence in Syria, Larijani said, “US military officials probably have a poor understanding of themselves and regional issues because Syria is in no way similar to Libya. The effects of creating another Benghazi in Syria would spread to Palestine, and ash rising from the flames would definitely envelop the Zionist regime,” said Larijani. “It seems that the United States and the West are seeking to pave the way for a new crisis,” he continued. Responding to remarks by Iran's Larijani, that western military intervention in Syria would bury Israel, a senior Israeli figured commented, “Imagine what Iran would do if it had nuclear weapons.” (J.Post) In February 2011, an uprising against the regime of Muammar Gaddafi occurred in the city of Benghazi in Libya. On February 21 the city was taken by Gaddafi opponents, who founded the National Transitional Council days later. It was the site of the turning point of the 2011 Libyan civil war, when the Libyan Army attempted to score a decisive victory against the NTC by taking its capital. Libyan military forces attacked Benghazi only to be pushed back by intervention from NATO air forces, allowing the rebellion to continue until victory was gained. Gaddafi, the deposed leader of Libya, died on October 20 2011 at the hands of opposition fighters. World leaders hailed his death as the end of an era of despotism and tyranny. The Lybian civil war was viewed as part of the Arab Spring

US AMBASSADOR WARNS ABOUT IRANIAN NUCLEAR THREAT:
"Do not let go until you reach the goal, to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons," stated Daniel Shapiro, the US ambassador to Israel. He spoke the words at last week’s conference in Tel Aviv on security. "The clock is ticking and the window of opportunity is closing.” Shapiro added. "We will do everything we can to achieve a diplomatic solution but we do not intend to continue talks for talks.” He added that the US will be taking steps "to increase pressure" on Iran to ensure it does not obtain nuclear weapons. His remarks come after a second round of talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany failed again to yield results as the West pressures Tehran to halt its uranium enrichment program. Shapiro’s remarks indicate a growing sense of urgency within Israel. (INN)

GERMAN PRESIDENT WARNS: IRAN THREATENS A NEW SHOAH: German President Joachim Gauck, last week in Jerusalem, stressed Germany’s concern for the concrete danger Iran presents to not only the Jewish state but for the entire region and potentially even Europe. He nonetheless asserted the need for finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict, saying Germany is committed to a diplomatic solution based on increasingly stringent sanctions. "Iran's president is threatening a new Shoah. We cannot ignore that," Gauck said. "The commitment to Israel's security and right to exist is a determining factor of Germany's politics." During his visit, the German President visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum and met with the families of the slain Israeli athletes, who were murdered by Arab terrorists during the 1972 Munich Games.  TOP IDF OFFICER WARNS TERRORIST THREAT IN SYRIA COULD BE DIRECTED AT ISRAEL: The deterioration of Syria's central regime could lead to a growing terrorist threat against Israel, a top Israel Defense Forces official warned last week. He said Israel was fighting a daily and indirect war with Iran through its proxies in the region. Northern Command chief Yair Golan said it was his estimation the terrorist threat from Syria in Israel was taking shape. He speculated a reality was being created in which al-Qaida elements currently in Syria and actively engaged against the Syrian regime would at some point start working against the Jewish state. Golan added the vacuum created in Syria could turn the country into an operational base for Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah. Golan reiterated concerns as to the future of Syria's reported stockpile of weapons of mass destruction amid civil unrest in the country. “What will happen to that arsenal? What will be the fate of this stockpile in a failing country, with a lack of an effective regime?" Golan asked. (Arutz-7) “As you have been an object of cursing among the nations, O Judah and Israel, so will I save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.” Zech 8:13

IN "GOOD WILL GESTURE," ISRAEL RELEASES TERRORIST BODIES TO PA: Israel returned the bodies of 91 terrorists to the Palestinian Authority early Thursday morning. The release of the bodies is another in an ongoing series of “gestures” by PM Binyamin Netanyahu to the PA, in an effort to encourage PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to return to negotiations with Israel. So far, the PA has refused, although Abbas has accepted Israel's “gestures.” The Palestinian Authority and Hamas both planned official memorial ceremonies since the terrorists are regarded as heroes. Dozens of Israelis were killed in attacks they carried out. (INN)

NANCY PELOSI HIRES FORMER TERRORIST FUNDRAISER: What happens to a top left-wing operative when he loses control of a media operation so badly that the White House has to distance itself from its allied think tank? He gets a job offer from Nancy Pelosi. In 2000, Faiz Shakir oversaw a week of events that raised money for Islamic terrorists murdering Jews. From 2005 until the present, he oversaw a left-wing blog whose contributors used language that even he admitted was antisemitic. Now Shakir is about to become a senior adviser to the Democratic Minority Leader of the House of Representatives. After the use of bigoted language by ThinkProgress contributors turned into a growing scandal, the White House publicly distanced itself from the outlet of the Center for American Progress. Time Magazine said the think tank had the largest influence on the Obama administration. Jarrod Bernstein, the White House’s liaison to the Jewish community, down-played this disturbing matter by saying the Center for American Progress’s attitude was not that of the Obama administration. SAUDIS SAY MCDONALD’S TOY INSULTS MUHAMMAD - DEMAND PUNISHMENT: Saudi Arabians are angry at a McDonald's toy which they say mocks their prophet Muhammad. According to a May 27 report on an Arabic news website, McDonald’s abused the Prophet Muhammad by placing his name at the base of a toy that is being distributed as part of the Happy Meal, a toy which steps on the name "Muhammad." According to the Saudis, the design around the base is the name "Muhammad" written several times in circles. (Gatestone Institute)
