“But you, O G-d, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you.” Ps 10:14

FIRST THE SATURDAY PEOPLE, THEN THE SUNDAY PEOPLE: Islamic terror groups have had a favorite taunt for several decades which says, first the Saturday people, then the Sunday people. This means of course, first the Jews then the Christians will be targets for terrorist persecution, subjection and elimination. Vision for Israel is endeavoring to keep you informed monthly of growing Christian oppression across Islamic controlled lands that you may pray for both the victims and their persecutors.

FATHER AND SON OUSTED FROM THE TRINITY IN NEW BIBLE TRANSLATIONS: A report release on January 27, 2012 reveals a controversy is brewing over three reputable Christian organizations, which are based in North America, whose efforts have ousted the words “Father” and “Son” from new Bibles. Wycliffe Bible Translators, Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) and Frontiers are under fire for “producing Bibles that remove “Father,” “Son” and “Son of God” because these terms are offensive to Muslims.” Concerned Christian missionaries, Bible translators, pastors, and national church leaders have come together with a public petition to stop these organizations. They claim the petition is their last recourse, because meetings with these organizations’ leaders, staff resignations over this issue and criticism and appeals from native national Christians concerned about the translations “have failed to persuade these agencies to retain “Father” and “Son” in the text of all their translations.” (Yahoo) “Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denies the Father and the Son.” 1 John 2:22

AL-QAEDA SEEKING FEMALE RECRUITS FOR SUICIDE BOMBINGS IN UK: Al-Qaeda is trying to recruit women to carry out suicide bombings in the UK, MPs warned on Feb 7. It is using extremist websites to radicalize the angels of death, said their chilling report. The Commons home affairs committee revealed it has heard evidence the terror group is “specifically launching and targeting women for violent acts.” It is already a deadly tactic in the Middle East, where growing numbers of Palestinian women are volunteering for suicide missions against Israel. The MPs' report comes days after four Islamic extremists admitted plotting to bomb the London Stock Exchange. (Jihad Watch)

CHRISTIAN PRIEST FLEEING HARASSMENT IN DENMARK: Recently a Danish policeman broke the taboo against speaking the truth about immigrant Muslims in Vollsmose, Denmark. He said that immigrant criminals are targeting Danes to make them move out of a Muslim area. “The Danes have a very difficult time here. Their children cannot play in the sandbox, it’s Danish cars that are set on fire, it is the Danish population's apartments that are broken into, it is the Danes that are shot at with air rifles, and it is the Danes who are exposed to street robberies. We are often called racists, but that’s how they look at everyone who enforces the law,” said the law officer. In a late January 2012 report, it was disclosed the Iranian-born leader of the Free Church "Church of Love," Massoud Fouroozandeh has moved out of the Vollsmose with his family to a small town at a secret location. This happened after the family had two cars smashed because a Christian cross was hanging inside them. “I was told by young people in Vollsmose that I should not drive into the area with the cross hanging in the car. Then our car was smashed and burned and the seats cut up. Since then the side windows in new our car were smashed three times," he said. After continued vandalism, the Christian family was frightened to let their children play on the playground in Vollsmose. (Kristeligt Dagblad)

EGYPT: OVER 300 MUSLIMS ATTACK COPTS OVER A RUMOR ABOUT A CELL PHONE PHOTO: A mob of over 300 Muslims attacked Copts in the village of Kobry-el-Sharbat, Alexandria on January 28, 2012. Coptic homes and shops were looted before being set ablaze. Two Copts and a Muslim were injured. The violence started after a rumor was spread that a Coptic man had an allegedly intimate photo of a Muslim woman on his mobile phone. According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrators were bearded men in white gowns. “They were Salafists, and some were from the Muslim Brotherhood,” according to one witness. The men terrorized women and children who had lost their homes and were in the streets without any place to go. According to Father Boktor Nashed from St. George's Church in el-Nahdah, a meeting between Muslim and Christian representatives was supposed to have taken place in the evening to address the issue of the alleged photo. But by mid-afternoon a Muslim mob looted and set fire to the home of Mourad Guirgis and his family, along with three homes of Coptic neighbors. A number of Coptic-owned shops and businesses were also looted and torched. “We contacted security forces, but they arrived very, very late,” said Father Nashad. The fire brigade was prevented from going into the village by the Muslims and the fires were left to burn themselves out. Those who lost their homes left the village. One Coptic activist said it took the army an hour to drive two kilometers to the village. “This happens every time. They wait outside the village until the Muslims have had enough violence, then they appear.” (Jihad Watch)

MUSLIM BANDITS KILL TWO COPTS – PERSECUTION ON THE INCREASE: Two Copts, father and son, were killed late last month in a suburb of Nag Hammadi in Upper Egypt. They were shot dead by a Muslim bandit and his accomplices because they refused to pay the money demanded by the racket. Four days prior to the murders the head of the gang, Ahmed Saber, asked Moawad Asaad, a Coptic contractor, for a large sum of money that would entitle him to continue working. On the afternoon of the Jan 26 Saber went to Asaad’s home to demand the money. The Copt refused to get into Saber’s car to speak for fear of being kidnapped. At that point, four men came out of the car armed with machine guns and opened fire on Moawad and his son Asaad Mowad an engineer. Both were killed instantly. Their deaths sparked the protest of thousands of Christian Copts outside the government building at Nag Hammadi. Protesters demanded protection for the Coptic community, which has become the victim of racketeering and violence by Muslims. The Bishop of Nag Hammadi said since last year Ahmed Saber, well known to the police, has extorted money from members of the Coptic community, and kidnapped the children of Christians to get the ransom money. (Jihad Watch) Under Islamic law, non-Muslims are meant to willingly pay the jizya tax or convert to Islam. The alternative is to face Islamic violence, even death. The jizya is not merely economic in its function; it exists also to humiliate the non-Muslim and impress on him the superiority of Islam. In Egypt jizya tax is a state protection racket. The brutality reported above exposes a private-enterprise version of an Islamic decree, of which there are many in Egypt now.

IRAQ’S CHRISTIANS LIVE IN TERROR: Christians who remain in Iraq live increasingly in an atmosphere of terror. Christian women have been threatened with kidnapping or death if they do not wear a headscarf. Muslim gangs have terrorized Christian neighborhoods in Baghdad, knocking on doors and demanding payment of the jizya, the religion-based tax assessed by Islamic law against Christians, Jews, and some other groups of non-Muslims who live in Muslim lands. Iraqi Christians today are streaming into Syria, or, if they can, out of the Middle East altogether. An Iraqi businessman presently living in Syria lamented this month that “now at least 75% of my Christian friends have fled. There is no future for us in Iraq.” (Crisis Magazine)

IRAN: CHRISTIAN WOMAN SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS IN PRISON: A Christian convert has been sentenced to two years in prison by a Revolutionary Court in Tehran. Leila Mohammadi received the sentence after spending five months in the Evin prison, known globally for its ruthless treatment of inmates. She was convicted of “broad anti-Islamic propaganda, deceiving citizens by formation of what is called a house church, insulting sacred figures and action against national security.” After placing her under arrest, security agents raided her home and confiscated her belongings. NIGERIA CHRISTIANS FLEE AS BOMBS, SHOOTING CLAIM 185 LIVES: Christians are fleeing northern Nigeria where bomb blasts rocked the Bauchi and Kano states in late January killing at least 250 people, including Christians, said rights activists and church officials. Terrorist Islamic group Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the multiple bombings and a shooting spree targeting the immigration services, police headquarters and State Security Service building in Kano, claiming most reported lives. The Kano attacks came a month after December's Christmas Day church bombings by Boko Haram that killed 37 in a bid to fuel sectarian strife in a nation equally and regionally divided between Muslims and Christians. Boko Haram says it wants to establish a state based on Sharia - strict Muslim law - and has ordered Christians to leave northern Nigeria, while urging Muslims in the south to move to northern regions. The violence is a major challenge for Nigeria's President, Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian and a southerner. The leader has come under increased pressure to speed up protection for Christians. He has said the country is facing a threat more serious to its existence than any since the Biafran war in the 1960s. (Worthy News/INN/Jihad Watch) The radical Islamist group, based in northern Nigeria, once specialized in robbing banks and attacking defenseless Christian congregations. In the past two months, however, its gunmen or suicide bombers have struck 21 times, killing at least 253 people. Sources say this transformation has come about partly because of the help Boko Haram has received from al-Qaeda terrorist branches.

CHRISTIAN CONVERTS IN CAMEROON UNDER THREAT FROM TERRORISTS: Christian converts in northern Cameroon are coming under intensifying pressure following a warning from terrorists to return to Islam or “face Allah’s wrath.” The handwritten threat from a group identifying itself as Boko Haram was put under the door of a church leader’s house in Jan. It called on all Christian converts to return to Islam immediately or face the wrath of the god of Islam. A few days later, two turbaned men arrived by motorcycle at the church leader’s house one night while he was away. One entered the house and ordered the man’s wife and children to lie face down on the ground. He demanded to know where the church leader was and then searched the house. The intruder told the wife to tell her husband that they would get him no matter where he was hiding. After this distressing incident, the family fled the village, and the other converts have gone into hiding. Another Christian leader, who has been trying to inform church leaders about the terrorists’ threat, also had his house searched at night. Boko Haram men terrorized his family and stole his computer. Boko Haram is a Islamist terror group that has been wreaking havoc against Christians in neighboring Nigeria. (Barnabis News) Pray for the safety and courage of Christians in Africa - those terrorized by members of the Boko Haram - who have gone so far as to behead teenagers in acts of religious violence.
