MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD TAKES LEAD IN EGYPTIAN VOTE COUNT: The Muslim Brotherhood's party is leading Egypt's elections as of Thursday, after the majority of the votes in a number of cities and provinces have been counted. Egypt's Al Nour faction, considered a radical Islamic party, is in second place behind the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Centrist party is only in third place. The results indicate the Muslim Brotherhood has become the strongest political force in the country since the fall of Hosni Mubarak. The elections for 498 seats in the lower house of the Egyptian parliament, will be voted on in three stages, each lasting two days, with the final stage taking place in January. (Ha’aretz) The initial success of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood – father of all terrorist organizations - is a victory for radical Islam and signals the crumbling of Israel’s peace agreement - even though it has been a cold one - with Egypt since 1979. The Brotherhood assassinated Anwar Sadat in 1981 for making peace with the hated "Zionist entity." It also assassinated Egypt`s prime minister in 1948 and attempted to assassinate President Nasser in 1954. The Brotherhood glorified Osama bin Laden and mourned his death.  Hamas is a "wing of the Muslim Brotherhood," according to the Hamas Charter. The Charter calls for the murder of Jews, the "obliteration" of Israel and its replacement with an Islamist theocracy.

A SECOND IRANIAN NUCLEAR FACILITY HAS EXPLODED: An Iranian nuclear facility has been hit by a huge explosion, the second such blow-up in a month, prompting speculation that Tehran's military and atomic sites are under attack. Satellite imagery confirmed the blast that rocked the city of Isfahan on Monday, struck the uranium enrichment facility there, despite denials by Tehran. The images clearly showed billowing smoke and destruction. Israeli intelligence officials said there was "no doubt" the blast struck the nuclear facilities at Isfahan and that it was "no accident." Israel's former director of national security said the Isfahan blast was no accident. "There aren't many coincidences, rather some sort of guiding hand. Perhaps it's the hand of God," he said. UK ORDERS CLOSURE OF IRANIAN EMBASSY IN LONDON: Britain Wednesday ordered the immediate closure of Iran's embassy in London. It has also closed its own embassy in Tehran after it was stormed by protesters demonstrating against Britain's latest round of sanctions against the Islamic Republic for its refusal to back down on intentions and progress towards producing nuclear weapons. A rally in the capital city of Tehran culminated in Iranians attempting to storm the British embassy. In the process, protesters tore down the British flag. “All Iranian diplomatic staff must leave the United Kingdom within the next 48 hours," British Foreign Secretary William Hague told parliament. "We have now closed the British embassy in Tehran. We have decided to evacuate all our staff and as of the last few minutes, the last of our UK-based staff have now left Iran." Britain, locked in a confrontation with Iran over its nuclear activities, has voiced outrage over the ransacking of its diplomatic premises in Tehran on Tuesday. "If any country makes it impossible for us to operate on their soil they cannot expect to have a functioning embassy here," Hague said. He added EU foreign ministers will discuss the embassy attack at a meeting in Brussels later this week. The EU representatives will also confer over  "further action which needs to be taken in the light of Iran's continued pursuit of a nuclear weapons program," he said. Germany has also recalled its ambassador to Iran for consultation after the British diplomatic mission in Tehran was attacked. (Reuters)

ISLAMIC JIHAD PRAISES RIOTS AT BRITISH EMBASSY: Following the protest on Tuesday at the British embassy in Iran, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization praised the incident. A senior member of the terrorist organization said, “It is natural for the Iranian nation to rise to clean this arrogant dirt from their country's soil," according to an Iranian press report. Islamic Jihad is based in Judea and Samaria as well as in Gaza. (Arutz-7)

MORE RUMORS OF WAR - GERMANY TO SELL ISRAEL ANOTHER DOLPHIN SUB: Germany will sell Israel a fourth Dolphin-class submarine – the first since 2005 – and will finance a third of its costs, reports said Wednesday. Two of Israel's other Dolphins were paid for by Germany, while the third was half-funded by Israel. Two more are under construction. Germany has already set aside 135 million Euros for the project. Dolphin subs are considered among the most sophisticated and capable conventional submarines in the world. Each submarine is armed with torpedo tubes, which are also capable of firing Sub-Harpoon missiles. The submarines are also able to deploy mines, and are reputed to be able to carry nuclear-tipped missiles. Media analysts said it was no coincidence that news of the deal was leaked on the day after Iranian students trashed the British Embassy in Tehran. “The story of the sale sends a message to Tehran that Israel and the West are not going to take much more of Iran's excesses,” said one analyst. “Dolphin subs are powerful weapons, and if they are used they will wreak havoc on Iran. I'm sure the message has been received by Tehran,” the analyst added. (INN)

STUDY: 10% OF ISRAELIS ARE FOOD-INSECURE: An Israel’s National Insurance Institute survey, released this week, reveals one-third of Israelis have given up on consumption of food in the past year in order to purchase other products. “Israel has the highest level of poverty in the Western world,” said one researcher. Some 10% of Israelis suffered from food insecurity in the past year, according to an extensive survey conducted by the National Insurance Institute. Two out of 100 Israelis suffer from serious hunger. One in five families lives below the poverty line. Nine percent of Israelis say they sometimes don't have enough food, while 4% say they often don't have enough food. In addition, about 23% of respondents had relatives or friends help them get food during at least one month this year. As for the quality and amount of food in each household, 28% admit they don't always have the type of food they want. Nine percent say that sometimes the quantity isn't enough, while 4% stress that it's often not enough. KATYUSHA MISSILES FIRED FROM LEBANON AT NORTHERN ISRAEL: At least four Katyusha missiles were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel overnight Monday. The missiles exploded in two communities near the border with Lebanon. There were no reports of physical injuries but damage was caused to an animal shelter in one of the communities. Israel’s military forces returned fire and said in a statement, “The IDF is treating this is a serious incident and wishes to emphasize that it sees the Lebanese government and the Lebanese army as responsible for the prevention of fire at Israel.” The statement said that the IDF’s Northern Command is conducting ongoing assessment in light of the events. HAMAS CO-FOUNDER: ABBAS NOT SERIOUS ABOUT RECONCILIATION: Palestinian Authority Mahmud Abbas is not serious about reconciling his Fatah faction with rival organization, Hamas, a senior Hamas official charged Wednesday. The Hamas terrorist organization’s co-founder, Mahmoud Zahar, said Abbas “is not interested in achieving” a unity government - alleging this is because the US and Israel oppose it. Abbas and Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal met last week to try to move ahead with a reconciliation deal they reached in principle in May. It was their first serious face-to-face meeting since Hamas broke a prior coalition government and seized Gaza from Fatah in a violent takeover in 2007. After the meeting Abbas and Mashaal hailed a "new era of cooperation," but observers noted no key points of division between the rival movements have been resolved. Israeli officials have warned a unity agreement with the Hamas terrorist group would be a death knell for the already comatose peace process. Hamas maintains that "resistance" is the only path to statehood and that any peace agreement reached with Israel will only serve as a prelude to furthering its agenda of destroying the Jewish state. OBAMA’S APPROVAL PLUNGES BELOW WORST-EVER PRESIDENT CARTER: President Barack Obama has one of the worst approval ratings of any president in modern political history; Obama’s 43% rating in Gallup’s presidential job approval index is far below Democrat Jimmy Carter’s 51% at the same point in his presidency. Carter has been considered one of the 20th century’s worst presidents, according to the index. Historically, it has been difficult for incumbents to remain in office if their approval ratings are below 47%. Only three former presidents have had a worse average rating at this stage: Carter, [Gerald] Ford, and Harry S. Truman. (Newsmax)
